LIVING

It is the expression that best describes Monsanto and our house.
It means stopping, contemplating, feeling.

Welcome to those who visit us and share their experience

"The house is very cosy and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The hosts are very responsive and even lite the fire for us on our arrival. I would recommend it for anyone planning a trip to Monsanto"

Monsanto's call

At Lugar São Salvador de Monsanto, one is welcomed with open arms—donning its traditional attire and enchanted by its way of life.

It was the cozy corners and terrace view that made us believe life here follows a different pace.

Slowly.

In the granite that shelters the terrace, we discovered a crucifix encrusted with fragments of azulejos. To us, it was the crucifix of the blessing of Marafona.

We baptized our home as Lugar São Salvador de Monsanto, the name of Monsanto’s parish church (Igreja de São Salvador).

Beatriz e António

"We were enchanted by its way of life

We had a strong desire to create a home where there was once only a space.
To the sound of music, we followed the path that brought us here.
We danced.
That moment will never be forgotten.
The first day in Monsanto."
