This is where the conversation all started
"Marafona introduced us to F. We talked down the street and later returned to see the place.
It was its corners and the view from its terrace that made us believe that people live at a different pace here. Slowly.
On the granite that houses the terrace, we find a crucifix encrusted with pieces of tile.
For us, it was the crucifix of Marafona's blessing. We named our house Lugar São Salvador de Monsanto, the name of the Mother Church, and, coincidence or destiny, our Sacristan, José, is our neighbor."
